Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Western Medical Center Santa Ana is committed to caring for the smallest of our population in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We maintain a 16-bed NICU and some 250 plus babies a year get their early start in our unit. Through high quality patient care, our staff work in a collaborative enviroment with compassionate and enthusiastic professionals who deliver comprehensive health care through research and evidence based practice. Our team of care givers consists of neonatalogists, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational and physical therapists, dieticians, social workers, case managers and a child life specialist, trained specifically to work with premature babies and their families. We also offer early development assessment to support families of premature babies and their special needs.
