Neurosurgical Services
Western Medical Center Santa Ana is a designated neurosurgery receiving center for Orange County and offers care 24- hours, 7 days a week neurosurgical coverage. We are here to serve patients with severe, and immediate neurological needs. Our dedicated and specialized team of neurosurgeons and staff are capable of performing highly specialized surgery that includes treatment of spinal trauma, brain tumors, spontaneous and traumatic brain or spinal bleeds, as well as brain and spinal vascular pathologies including aneurysms.
Team Approach:
We take a multidisciplinary approach to treating our patients. A team of physicians, nurses, therapists, and a social worker, work with one another on each case to ensure adequate and timely treatment decisions. Once a patient is able to undergo rehabilitation, he or she is assigned the appropriate therapy, which may include: speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy.
Rounds:
We conduct rehabilitative, neurological, and neurosurgical rounds on a weekly basis. We also conduct weekly grand rounds that includes trauma surgery, neurosurgery, and pulmonary services.
